Brent Gibson is the manager, communications, for Engineers Canada. With more than 15 years of experience leading communications and marketing for associations and non-profits, he has planned and executed issue and brand awareness campaigns across both traditional and digital media. Leveraging crossover skills in strategy development, writing and video production, web development, stakeholder engagement, and project management, he has the broad foundation of a communications professional focused on advancing caused-based campaigns. Gibson holds a master of arts in communications from Carleton University, where he researched the role of non-profit stakeholders in framing public policy debates in the news media and the relationship between these actors and other stakeholders, such as government and business.
