Chef Joey found his passion for cooking in his birthplace of New Orleans, where he was surrounded by the exhilarating sights, sounds, and tastes of a culture of celebration. He moved around and learned from the greats while continuing to learn new cuisines and cooking techniques.
He had been a corporate chef for 15 years when COVID-19 hit. That’s when he pivoted and created Chef Joey, a virtual cooking class for all skill levels. It satisfies his love of teaching and meeting new people from all over the world and combines the two with his love of cooking. Through his informal class, he helps others create beautiful food as he sprinkles in a few laughs, stories of his past, and foodlore.
With his edgy humour, he makes sure everyone is having a blast until they surprise even themselves with an amazing meal to share.
Chef Joey continues to reinvent himself and loves where this latest path has taken him.
