    Robert (Bob) Gurney, PhDDr. Robert (Bob) Gurney is an educator, researcher, and consultant with more than 30 years of experience in Canada and Australia. His education and experiences over the past 15 years have developed professional expertise in the field of organizational development. As an educator, Dr. Gurney has worked at colleges and universities in Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia, and Australia. His research has been presented at international conferences and published in accredited journals and peer-reviewed books.
    As a consultant, Dr. Gurney has provided consulting services to organizations in Canada and Australia. He holds the professional designation of chartered manager with the Canadian Institute of Management—Chartered Managers Canada (reciprocity with the United Kingdom and the United States). He continues to hold professional memberships with a diverse portfolio of organizations. Currently, he works as a contract lecturer at business schools in Edmonton and is the founder and president of two consulting firms located in Alberta and British Columbia. During the past decade, Dr. Gurney has been active in the development and practice of the Competencies-Based Coaching System for workplace employees and university students.
