Registration Deadline
Registration to on-demand access is available until August 31, 2023. On-demand concludes on September 5, 2023.
Cancellation Deadlines
Once registration is confirmed, there are no cancellations or refunds.
Registration for events may be limited to the registered attendee if group registration is not available. If additional individuals would like to attend, participate, or post on the platform, they must register through the standard registration process.
Event Payment
We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. Cash, cheques, and debit (including Visa Debit) are not accepted.
Posting and Content Etiquette
Do not post defamatory, abusive, threatening, profane, offensive, or illegal content. Do not post information protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. By posting content, the posting party acknowledges they own the copyright of the content or has received permission from the copyright owner to post. All attendees must respect others throughout their interactions and use caution when discussing products and services as all information is available for all to see. Attendees should not post commercial messages of any kind within the platform, including the promotion of companies, services, or individuals.
By posting on the platform, you give APEGA, or anyone authorized by APEGA, the right to use or publish any comments in any medium for educational, news, or promotional purposes without compensation or notice. This may include text, photos, videos, and any other posted content.
APEGA will not actively monitor the event platform for inappropriate postings and does not undertake editorial control of any posts. Any event attendee requested to stop inappropriate or unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately. APEGA reserves the right to revoke an event attendee’s registration at any time, at its sole discretion, if it is determined an attendee has violated the terms and conditions as set out for the event. If an event attendee notices any posts or behaviour in violation of the above, they can notify APEGA staff through the virtual help desk, if applicable, or via email to pd@apega.ca
Privacy Policy & Use of Information Statement
The personal information you provide APEGA will not be released, sold, or rented to any entities outside of our organization except as noted below. For more information, please refer to our privacy policy at www.apega.ca/privacy, or contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@apega.ca.
Virtual Event Platform
We may share your personal information with a third-party whose platform hosts the virtual event for the purpose of allowing access to the platform. They are required to protect the confidentiality of any personal information we share and may only use it to provide the specific services on behalf of APEGA.
Event Recordings
The event may be made available for on-demand viewing.
External Sites
We are not responsible for the content of external internet sites. You are advised to read the privacy policies for any external sites you visit before disclosing any personal information.
Inherent Risks When Using the Internet
While we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit to us. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords or other account information.
Professional Practice
APEGA is the sole authority to speak on the interpretation and application of the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act and General Regulation, as well as APEGA’s bylaws and related practice standards, guidelines, and bulletins.
